![]() ![]() Any help in identifying the model and year of this guitar is much appreciated. This guitar has serial number 186, with John Suhr’s signature (both look to be handwritten in silver ink). In 2014, Suhr went on an expedition to Longview, WA to harvest a very special old growth maple tree. The in-between positions are both very quack-y and vocal, and they present a brighter take on the classic Hendrixian single-coil sound. Suhr 2016 Collection The Trilogy Serial 1. The neck pickup has more of a vintage-inspired sound, with broad, throaty midrange and deep, woody, clear lows beneath a sweet, singing high end. The middle single-coil is balanced across the board with some nice jangle in the highs and cut in the upper mids. It is astoundingly versatile-a master of all trades! The bridge humbucker packs plenty of heat, and its combination of top-end sparkle, punchy midrange, tight lows, and articulation make it great for cutting leads and just about all beefy rhythm work. ![]()
